b9dd75684e fix(correctness): pagination tiebreakers, dedup race, duration gating (0.87.6)
Three medium correctness fixes:

1. **Pagination ORDER BY missing tiebreakers** — four admin list queries
   sorted by a timestamp or `chapters.number` with no stable secondary
   sort. Add `id` tiebreakers across `repo::admin_view`,
   `repo::admin_audit`, `repo::bookmark`.

2. **`enqueue_pages` NOT EXISTS read-then-insert race** — concurrent
   admin clicks could land duplicate analyze_page jobs. Migration 0031
   adds a partial unique index mirroring 0014; query relies on
   `ON CONFLICT DO NOTHING`.

3. **`record_duration` overwrote a prior done row's duration on a
   non-terminal failed retry of a force-re-analyze.** Gate the call
   on "did this attempt actually write a row?".

c6a6d1690d feat(admin): time-series trend charts on the metrics tabs (0.87.0)
Turn the dormant timing data in crawl_metrics / page_analysis into "is it
healthy over time" views. New bucketed series queries (GROUP BY date_trunc,
hour|day via a closed Bucket enum so the unit can't be attacker-controlled)
behind GET /v1/admin/{crawler,analysis}/metrics/series, with a shared
SeriesParams/resolve_bucket helper (bad bucket → 400) and migration 0030
indexing page_analysis(analyzed_at) for the analysis scan.

Frontend: a dependency-free SVG TrendChart (line+area, null buckets render as
gaps, empty-state, role=img) embedded above the per-op tables in Crawler and
Analysis → Metrics, driven by each panel's existing window selector with
AbortController-cancelled fetches. A buildSeries() util fills the continuous
bucket axis (throughput 0 for empty buckets, success/duration null) — unit
tested alongside the chart and the series API client.

Closes the Phase-1 observability set (audit log · health checks · trends).

35664bccc7 perf(admin): fix O(mangas x jobs) overview query that pinned Postgres (0.85.1)
All checks were successful
deploy / test-backend (push) Successful in 26m28s
deploy / test-frontend (push) Successful in 10m18s
deploy / build-and-push (push) Successful in 11m21s
deploy / deploy (push) Successful in 13s
The admin overview dashboard polls /admin/overview every 30s. Its
`manga_stats` aggregate evaluated MANGA_SYNC_STATE_CASE over the WHOLE
library (14.5k mangas) with no LIMIT, and that CASE runs a correlated
EXISTS over crawler_jobs. With no index on the `sync_chapter_list`
manga_id path, Postgres seqscanned all in-flight jobs *per manga* —
O(mangas x jobs). The disabled-analysis backlog (9.5k pending
`analyze_page` rows that can never match the sync-kind filter) inflated
every scan, so each call took 6-7 min. The 30s poll stacked ~10 of them
concurrently → load 11, Postgres at ~100%.

EXPLAIN ANALYZE on the live DB: the rewrite drops the query from 6-7 min
to ~1.5s (per-manga crawler_jobs seqscan → single index-backed pass).

Fixes:
- Rewrite `manga_stats` to collect the in-flight manga-id set in ONE pass
  over the sync jobs (index-backed), then classify via a hash semi-join —
  O(mangas + jobs), immune to the analyze_page backlog size.
- Add partial index crawler_jobs_sync_chapter_list_manga_idx (migration
  0029) covering the sync_chapter_list manga_id path; mirrors the existing
  sync_manga index (0020). Also speeds the per-row Mangas tab listing.
- statement_timeout backstop (5s) on the aggregate so a pathological plan
  can never pin a backend for minutes again.
- Single-flight + 10s TTL cache on the /admin/overview handler so
  concurrent pollers coalesce instead of stacking.
- Slow the dashboard poll 30s -> 60s (server-cached now anyway).

The in_progress rule in the rewrite is kept in lockstep with the first
arm of MANGA_SYNC_STATE_CASE (documented in both places).

790549636f feat(storage): admin storage-usage stats + per-manga/chapter sizes
Some checks failed

deploy / build-and-push (push) Has been cancelled
deploy / deploy (push) Has been cancelled
deploy / test-frontend (push) Has been cancelled
Persist blob sizes (covers + chapter pages) and surface upload storage
usage to admins in two places:

- Admin System tab: total/covers/chapters totals, ratio of disk, average
  image sizes, and top-5 largest mangas/chapters leaderboards, behind a
  new GET /api/v1/admin/storage endpoint (separate from /admin/system so
  the cheap DB aggregates aren't coupled to its 250ms CPU sample).
- Manga detail page: total chapter-content size and per-chapter size,
  with an em-dash for uncrawled or not-yet-measured chapters.

Sizes are captured at write time (crawler put_stream return, uploaded
page/cover byte length) into nullable pages.size_bytes /
mangas.cover_size_bytes columns; NULL means "not yet measured", distinct
from a real 0. A one-shot, idempotent admin "Backfill sizes" action
(POST /api/v1/admin/storage/backfill) stats pre-existing blobs in
keyset-paginated, capped batches and reports more_remaining so a large
legacy library can be drained over multiple runs.

Aggregates and leaderboards treat NULL honestly (only fully-measured
entities are ranked); a dashboard banner flags unmeasured rows so partial
figures aren't read as complete. persist_pages now prunes stale page rows
on a shrinking re-crawl so totals and page_count stay consistent.

2b7a11b480 feat(admin): runtime-editable crawler & analysis config in the dashboard
Some checks failed

deploy / deploy (push) Has been cancelled
deploy / test-frontend (push) Has been cancelled
Move crawler and analysis configuration out of boot-only env vars and into
a DB-backed, admin-editable surface applied live without a restart.

- New `app_settings` table (migration 0026) holds one JSONB row per group;
  env vars seed it on first boot, then the DB is the source of truth.
- `settings.rs` adds serializable Crawler/Analysis DTOs with env-base +
  DB-overlay conversion and field-level validation; env-only/secret fields
  (browser, proxy, TOR, vision API key, PHPSESSID) are never persisted.
- `GET/PUT /api/v1/admin/settings/{crawler,analysis}` (RequireAdmin,
  cookie-only, CSRF-guarded): GET returns the editable DTO + a read-only
  env-managed view + prompt defaults; PUT validates (422 + per-field
  details), persists + audits in one tx, then gracefully respawns the
  affected daemon via a Supervisor.
- AppState swaps the crawler control/resync handles and analysis enable
  gate behind shared runtime cells so reloads take effect with no restart;
  a boot-time spawn failure is logged rather than aborting startup.
- Make the three vision prompts and sampling temperature configurable
  (defaults preserved); cookie_domain is admin-editable too.
- Frontend: tabbed /admin/settings page with grouped fieldsets, prompt
  reset-to-default, env-managed read-only panel, save-&-apply confirm, and
  per-field validation; typed client + ApiError.details.
- Bump version 0.79.1 -> 0.80.0.

63e1aa5484 feat(analysis): page-analysis schema, domain types, and analyze_page job kind
Adds the persistence foundation for the AI content-analysis worker:

- Migration 0025: page_analysis (status + scene + is_nsfw + weighted
  search_doc tsvector), page_ocr_text (kind-tagged pieces), global
  page_auto_tags (shared tags vocabulary, separate from per-user
  page_tags), and page_content_warnings (closed vocabulary).
- domain::page_analysis: AnalysisStatus/OcrKind/ContentWarning enums with
  kind->tsvector-weight mapping and lenient model-string parsing, plus the
  VisionAnalysis response DTOs.
- JobPayload::AnalyzePage { page_id, force } + KIND_ANALYZE_PAGE, reusing
  the existing crawler_jobs queue.
- repo::page_analysis: enqueue_for_page, load, mark_failed, and the single
  transactional persist_analysis (delete+reinsert; idempotent; never
  touches user page_tags; computes the A/B/C/D-weighted search_doc).

Tests: repo integration (persist/idempotency/user-tags-untouched/enqueue/
mark_failed/speech>sfx ranking) + unit (weights, parsing, DTO, job serde).

f30600162e feat(page-tags): normalize page_tags onto the shared tags table
page_tags previously stored the tag inline as free-form text — the lone
un-normalized tag concept, while authors/genres/manga-tags all went
through a lookup table + FK. Fold page tags into the SAME shared `tags`
table that manga_tags uses: `page_tags.tag` becomes `page_tags.tag_id`
referencing `tags(id)`. Manga tags and page tags now share one global
vocabulary.

The HTTP contract is unchanged — the API still speaks tag *names*; the
repo resolves name<->id via `repo::tag::upsert_by_name` (the manga-tag
helper) and keeps the stricter page-tag `normalize_tag` at the boundary.
Frontend, DTOs, and response shapes are untouched. User-visible effect:
page-tag names now appear in the manga-tag autocomplete and vice versa.

Migration 0024 backfills `tags` from existing inline values (deduping
case-insensitively), repoints rows, swaps the unique/secondary indexes
to tag_id, and drops the inline column.

6c901e64c9 feat(search): tag-based page search surface + per-page tags & collections
Add the /search surface (Pages / Chapters / Mangas tabs) backed by
per-user page tags and per-page collections: schema (migration 0023),
backend endpoints for page tags/collections and tagged-page aggregations
(with the OCR text-search param reserved at 501), plus the frontend API
clients, library Page-tags tab, collection page sections, page context
menu / AddTagsSheet, and reader long-press wiring. Includes the
continuous-reader navigation fixes (?page=N handling, chapter-reset
timing, back-button pops history) and tag-normalization hardening
accumulated on the branch.

d6ac648ac9 feat(admin): crawler observability dashboard + reliability hardening (0.55.0)
Admin-only crawler dashboard backed by an SSE live-status stream,
coordinated browser restart, runtime PHPSESSID refresh, dead-letter
requeue, and a batch of reliability fixes. Closes everything from
the two-pass audit (10 commits' worth) and bumps 0.52.0 -> 0.55.0.

Backend:

- New /admin/crawler/* surface (cookie-auth, RequireAdmin) split
  into status / control / dead_jobs / backlog modules. SSE stream
  composes in-memory status with DB-derived queue counts, memoizes
  the counts for 1s and debounces watch pokes for 250ms (~10x QPS
  reduction per subscriber). One-shot GET /admin/crawler shares the
  same compose path.
- POST /admin/crawler/run gated by manual_pass_lock try_lock_owned
  (409 Conflict on overlapping click); browser restart goes through
  the coordinated_restart gate (drain + relaunch + auto-clear of the
  sticky session_expired flag on Ok).
- Runtime PHPSESSID refresh via SessionController (allow-list
  validation, never logged, audit row carries SHA-256 fingerprint).
  Storage layer is repo::crawler::runtime_session_{load,persist}.
- Dead-letter requeue with four scopes (all/manga/chapter/job);
  scope=all requires confirm:true; DISTINCT ON dedup keeps the
  partial unique index from rejecting requeues for chapters with
  multiple dead rows. SQL is four &'static str constants per scope.
- StatusHandle + ChapterGuard / CoverGuard RAII model survives
  panics; last-writer-wins on cover so concurrent dispatches don't
  clobber each other's slot. Pure functions (should_stop /
  should_mark_clean_exit / should_abort_pass) with named regression
  tests.
- Reliability bundle: per-lease heartbeat, jitter on retries,
  per-job timeout, circuit breaker on consecutive failures, BrowserManager
  coordinated restart gate, request fingerprint changes.
- Streaming page download: Storage::put_stream trait method,
  LocalStorage impl atomic via temp + fsync + UUID-suffixed rename.
  Pages stream through with peak memory ~one HTTP chunk + 64-byte
  sniff prefix instead of one full image per dispatch.
- New partial indexes (migration 0022): mangas_missing_cover_idx
  and crawler_jobs_dead_idx, both ordered by updated_at DESC to
  match the dashboard's LIMIT/OFFSET reads.
- Security hardening: admin_csrf_guard (Origin/Referer allowlist
  on /admin/* mutations, opt-in via ADMIN_ALLOWED_ORIGINS),
  admin_no_store_guard (Cache-Control: no-store on admin
  responses), audit rows carry per-scope target_id.

Frontend:

- /admin/crawler page decomposed into lib/components/crawler/
  (11 components: ProgressBar, SearchBar, CrawlerHero,
  CrawlerControls, ActiveChaptersCard, ActiveJobsTable,
  MissingCoversTable, DeadJobsTable, RestartConfirmModal,
  RequeueAllConfirmModal, SessionModal). Page is 532 LOC of
  orchestration; each component 22-148 LOC.
- EventSource lifecycle wired to visibilitychange / pagehide /
  pageshow (BFCache); after 5 consecutive errors probes the status
  endpoint so a 401 routes through the global on401Hook instead of
  infinite silent reconnects.
- Backlog $effect refetches debounced 500ms with per-loader
  AbortControllers; refresh after a control action only runs when
  the SSE stream is dead.
- Inline requeue button on /admin/mangas patches the affected row's
  sync_state locally (no full chapter-list refetch); proper
  aria-label. Requeue-all gets its own confirm modal; both confirm
  modals autofocus Cancel.
- SvelteKit reverse proxy bypasses its 5-minute AbortController
  for Accept: text/event-stream; pure shouldBypassProxyTimeout
  helper covered by unit tests.

Config / docs:

- New env vars (.env.example): ADMIN_ALLOWED_ORIGINS,
  CRAWLER_JOB_TIMEOUT_SECS, CRAWLER_METADATA_MAX_CONSECUTIVE_FAILURES,
  CRAWLER_BROWSER_RESTART_THRESHOLD.

679abae736 feat(chapter): preserve source-site order in chapter list (0.52.0)
Some checks failed
deploy / test-backend (push) Failing after 11m48s
deploy / test-frontend (push) Successful in 9m45s
deploy / build-and-push (push) Has been skipped
deploy / deploy (push) Has been skipped
The user-facing chapter list ordered by (number ASC, created_at ASC),
which broke the source site's order in two ways: non-numeric entries
("notice. : Officials") parsed to number=0 and clustered at the top,
even though the site placed them mid-list, and variants sharing a
number ("Ch.14 : PH" / "Ch.14 : Official") were torn apart by the
created_at tiebreak.

Capture each chapter's position in the source DOM as `source_index`
(0 = first = newest on this site) on every crawler sync, including the
UPDATE branch so a new chapter prepended on the source shifts every
existing row down by one on the next tick. The list query reverses
this with `ORDER BY source_index DESC NULLS LAST, number ASC,
created_at ASC` so the oldest chapter appears first, variants stay
adjacent in the order the site shows them, and non-numeric entries
land where the site placed them. User-uploaded chapters and pre-
migration rows keep their NULL source_index and fall through to the
prior number/created_at tiebreak via NULLS LAST.

The reader's client-side `[...chapters].sort((a,b) => a.number - b.number)`
is dropped; prev/next now walks the server-ordered array positionally
so it traverses variants and non-numeric entries in display order.

Existing data populates on the next cron tick or via admin force-resync.

bf7c9b5c2a feat(api): admin manga/chapter overview with derived sync state (0.39.0)
Adds GET /api/v1/admin/mangas and /admin/mangas/:id/chapters guarded by
RequireAdmin. Sync state is computed at query time from the existing
crawler signals (manga_sources / chapter_sources / crawler_jobs) — no
new state column is persisted, so the crawler stays the single writer
of these signals.

Per-manga priority: InProgress (in-flight sync_manga or
sync_chapter_list job) > Dropped (all source rows soft-dropped) >
Synced (default; covers user-uploaded mangas with zero source rows).

Per-chapter priority: Downloading (in-flight sync_chapter_content) >
Dropped (all source rows soft-dropped) > Failed (most-recent terminal
job is dead) > NotDownloaded (page_count = 0) > Synced. The Failed
check sits ABOVE NotDownloaded so the more informative "we tried and
it died" state wins over "we never got around to it" — see the
priority comment in repo/admin_view.rs.

Migration 0020 adds a partial index on
crawler_jobs((payload->>'source_manga_key')) for the one job kind
(sync_manga) whose payload doesn't carry manga_id directly — without it
the in-flight detection for a manga falls back to a seqscan over the
job table.

0b2018ceca feat(api): admin user management endpoints with audit log (0.38.0)
Adds /api/v1/admin/users list / DELETE / PATCH guarded by RequireAdmin,
plus the audit-log substrate every future destructive admin endpoint
will reuse.

Safety properties:
- Cannot self-delete or self-demote (409 conflict, message calls out
  "yourself" so the UI can render an explanation).
- Cannot remove the last admin via either DELETE or demote. The check
  takes pg_advisory_xact_lock(ADMIN_INVARIANT_LOCK_KEY) and re-counts
  admins inside the same tx, closing the parallel-demote race that a
  bare "if count > 1" check would let through. The HTTP-serial path to
  this guard is structurally unreachable (the actor would have to be
  the lone admin demoting themselves, which the self-guard fires on
  first); the parallel race test exercises it via repo calls.

Audit log (admin_audit table) records the action inside the same tx
as the action itself, so a rolled-back action never leaves an orphan
audit row. actor_user_id is ON DELETE SET NULL so the log outlives a
later-deleted admin. target_id is not a FK because future audit kinds
will target non-user rows.

ab8b7acc34 feat(auth): admin role with cookie-only RequireAdmin extractor (0.37.0)
Adds an `is_admin` flag on users plus the substrate every later PR in the
admin feature builds on:

- migration 0018 adds the column with default false
- `repo::user::bootstrap_admin` creates or promotes the user named by
  `ADMIN_USERNAME` at startup, hashing `ADMIN_PASSWORD` only when the row
  is new — never overwriting an existing hash, so an operator can rotate
  the admin password via the UI without env-var conflict
- `CurrentSessionUser` extractor accepts only the session cookie;
  `RequireAdmin` composes over it and additionally requires
  `user.is_admin`. Bearer tokens are intentionally excluded so an
  admin's bot token never inherits admin authority (privilege-escalation
  surface that bites every "API keys reuse user perms" auth design)
- demotion is instant: `RequireAdmin` re-reads the user row each request

`/api/v1/auth/me` now exposes `is_admin`; no other response embeds
`User`, so no privacy fanout to audit.

c6bb9160e3 fix(crawler): scope chapter_sources lookup per-manga (0.35.5)
chapter_sources's PRIMARY KEY was (source_id, source_chapter_key) and
the lookup in sync_manga_chapters didn't constrain by manga_id, so a
source whose chapter slugs aren't globally unique (e.g. "chapter-1"
appearing under multiple mangas) silently attributed every collision
to the first manga that synced it. The INSERT path would have
conflicted on the second manga's sync.

Migration 0017 drops the old PK and rekeys on (source_id, chapter_id)
— the natural identity of a per-source chapter attachment — and adds
an index on (source_id, source_chapter_key) for the lookup path. The
repo lookup now joins chapters and filters by manga_id; the UPDATE
path keys on chapter_id directly (the row's natural identifier
post-migration).

Test sync_chapters_isolates_colliding_keys_across_mangas pins the
contract end-to-end.

bd9a6bd257 chore: drop dead 'failed' branch from crawler_jobs partial index
0012_crawler.sql's partial index on `state IN ('pending','failed')`
indexes a state that no code path ever writes — ack_failed in
crawler/jobs.rs only ever moves jobs to 'dead' or 'pending'. The
'failed' branch costs a write on every state change without ever
matching a query. Drop it; the CHECK still allows 'failed' so a
future migration can re-introduce it cleanly.

9fe0f26d75 feat: in-process crawler daemon with cron and worker pool (0.28.0)
The backend now boots an internal crawler daemon that runs a daily
metadata pass (CRAWLER_DAILY_AT in CRAWLER_TZ, advisory-lock guarded
for multi-replica safety) and drains SyncChapterContent jobs from
crawler_jobs through a worker pool. Chromium launches lazily on first
job and is torn down after CRAWLER_IDLE_TIMEOUT_S seconds of inactivity.

Modules:
- crawler::browser_manager — lazy-launch / idle-teardown wrapper
  around browser::Handle, with an on_launch hook that re-injects
  PHPSESSID on every fresh Chromium spawn.
- crawler::pipeline — run_metadata_pass (the shared discover/upsert
  /cover/sync-chapters loop) and the enqueue_bookmarked_pending helper
  used by the cron tick.
- crawler::daemon — cron task + worker pool, behind two trait seams
  (MetadataPass, ChapterDispatcher) so tests can inject stubs without
  standing up Chromium or a live source.

Behavior:
- CRAWLER_DAEMON=false skips daemon spawn entirely (default for tests).
- Catch-up tick fires on startup if the last persisted slot was missed.
- A SyncOutcome::SessionExpired sets a sticky AtomicBool; workers
  idle until operator restart with a refreshed PHPSESSID.
- Worker dispatch wrapped in catch_unwind so a panicking handler
  marks the job failed instead of taking down the worker.
- Migration 0015 adds a small crawler_state k-v table for the
  last_metadata_tick_at watermark.

Dep additions: chrono-tz (IANA TZ parsing).

CLI (bin/crawler) reuses pipeline::run_metadata_pass and now holds
the browser via BrowserManager so the on_launch session injection
flow stays in one place. Inline chapter-content sync semantics are
unchanged — the queue is for the daemon, force-refetches and manual
backfills still bypass it.

93c7fd63fc feat: crawler job queue ops and dedup index (0.27.0)
Adds enqueue / lease / ack_done / ack_failed / release / reap_done on
crawler::jobs, backed by the existing crawler_jobs table. lease() uses
a single FOR UPDATE SKIP LOCKED CTE that also re-claims stale running
rows (crashed-worker recovery), and ack_failed applies an exponential
backoff capped at 1h before retrying.

Migration 0014 adds a partial unique index on
(payload->>'chapter_id') restricted to (pending|running)
sync_chapter_content jobs, so producers can just
INSERT ... ON CONFLICT DO NOTHING without racing each other. The slot
frees again the moment the job leaves the in-flight states, so a
future force-refetch can re-enqueue.

Library-only — no daemon, no API hook. Those land in the next two
phases.

51346227dd feat: route reader by chapter id, allow duplicate-numbered chapters (0.24.0)
Real-world sources publish multiple chapters at the same number:
different scanlators ("Ch.52 from bloomingdale" + "Ch.52 from mina"),
translator notices and farewells, alt-translations. The (manga_id,
number) UNIQUE constraint from 0001 silently collapsed all of those
into a single row via the upsert path in repo::crawler. Migration 0013
drops the constraint; sync_manga_chapters now plain-INSERTs each
SourceChapterRef so every parsed chapter survives as its own row.

Identity moves from the (manga_id, number) tuple to the chapter UUID:

- `GET /api/v1/mangas/:manga_id/chapters/:chapter_id` (replaces :number)
- `GET /api/v1/mangas/:manga_id/chapters/:chapter_id/pages`
- `repo::chapter::find_by_id_in_manga` (replaces find_by_manga_and_number)
- Frontend reader route renamed to `/manga/[id]/chapter/[chapter_id]`
- Chapter links throughout (manga page list, continue-reading CTA,
  reader prev/next, history rows, bookmark cards) use chapter.id
- API clients getChapter/getChapterPages take a chapter id string

read_progress + bookmarks already FK chapter_id; they only enrich with
chapter_number for display, which is preserved.

19c1276490 feat: read & upload history (0.19.0)
Per-user reading progress and uploader attribution.

Schema (migration 0011): `read_progress` table (one row per (user,
manga); chapter_id nullable on chapter delete) and nullable
`uploaded_by` columns on mangas + chapters with partial indexes
scoped to non-null rows.

Endpoints (all `/me/*`, auth-scoped):
- PUT `/v1/me/read-progress` upserts. FK violations + cross-manga
  chapter ids both surface as 4xx (404 / 422) so the API can't be
  used to write logically invalid rows.
- GET `/v1/me/read-progress` paged newest-first list.
- GET `/v1/me/read-progress/:manga_id` enriched with chapter_number
  for the manga page's Continue CTA.
- DELETE `/v1/me/read-progress/:manga_id` idempotent.
- GET `/v1/me/uploads` interleaved manga + chapter uploads as a
  tagged union; limit-only pagination.

Existing manga + chapter upload handlers stamp `uploaded_by`.

Frontend:
- Reader emits progress on mount + page change (debounce) and via
  IntersectionObserver in continuous mode. High-water mark is seeded
  from the persisted server value so re-opening a chapter doesn't
  regress to page 1. Tab close survives via `sendBeacon` (fallback
  `keepalive` fetch); SPA navigation flushes via regular fetch.
- Manga detail page shows "Continue reading Chapter N — page M"
  above the chapters list, working even for mangas with >50
  chapters.
- New `/profile/history` tab with reading history (clear-per-row,
  inline error on failure) and uploads (mangas + chapters mixed
  chronologically with type-aware rendering).

171 backend tests (incl. 16 history tests covering ownership, FK
race, cross-link guard, chapter SET NULL behaviour) and 97 frontend
tests + svelte-check clean.

274cc819ca feat: manga collections (0.17.0)
User-owned named lists of mangas with an add-to-collection modal on
the manga page and dedicated /collections and /collections/:id pages.

- Schema (0010): `collections` (per-user case-insensitive name
  uniqueness) + `collection_mangas` join with cascade FKs.
- Endpoints: full CRUD on `/v1/collections`, idempotent add/remove
  for `/v1/collections/:id/mangas`, and `/v1/mangas/:id/my-collections`
  for the modal's pre-checked state. Owner-mismatch surfaces as 404
  (not 403) so the API doesn't disclose collection existence to
  non-owners; the frontend funnels 401 to /login. Three-state PATCH
  via a new shared `domain::patch::Patch<T>` lets clients distinguish
  "leave alone", "clear", and "set" for description.
- Frontend: reusable `Modal` component (focus trap, opt-in
  backdrop close, ESC) and `AddToCollectionModal` with optimistic
  toggling that's race-safe under fast clicks. /collections page
  renders cover-collage cards; /collections/:id is editable with
  per-card remove. Top nav gets a Collections link.

155 backend tests (incl. 21 collection tests covering ownership,
idempotence, sample-cover enrichment, three-state PATCH, FK race);
88 frontend tests; svelte-check clean.

59d380b6d7 feat: manga metadata with status, authors, genres, tags, and search filters (0.15.0)
Adds first-class manga metadata across the stack:

- **Status** (ongoing / completed), **alternative titles**, normalized
  **multi-author** support, **curated genres** (13 seeded), and
  **free-form user tags** (case-insensitive, globally shared). Each is
  modelled as its own table joined to mangas; `mangas.author` is
  backfilled into `authors` + `manga_authors` and dropped.
- New endpoints: `PATCH /v1/mangas/:id` (three-state `description`),
  `POST/DELETE /v1/mangas/:id/tags[/:tag_id]`, `GET /v1/genres`,
  `GET /v1/tags?search=`.
- `GET /v1/mangas` now returns `MangaCard` (with authors + genres
  batched in) and supports `?status=`, `?author_id=`, `?genre_id=`,
  `?tag_id=` filters — AND across facets, with empty-array no-op
  semantics for the unnest primitive.
- `GET /v1/mangas/:id` returns the enriched `MangaDetail` with tags.
- Frontend: reusable `Chip` component; manga detail page renders
  authors as chips linking to `/authors/:id` (Phase 2), a status
  badge, alt titles, genres, and tags with inline add/remove (only
  the attacher sees remove); upload form supports multi-author /
  multi-genre / alt titles / status; search page gets a collapsible
  URL-synced filter panel with keyboard-navigable tag autocomplete.
- 126 backend tests (incl. AND-across-facets primitive, case-insens
  author/tag de-dup, transactional create rollback, PATCH semantics
  for missing / null / set on description); 72 frontend tests +
  svelte-check clean.

60cc7712fa feat: continuous reader mode with persisted preference
Add a vertical-scroll continuous mode to the reader alongside the
existing single-page mode. A segmented toggle in the reader top bar
switches between them; in continuous mode a gap selector
(None/Small/Medium/Large → 0/12/32/64px) controls the spacing
between stacked pages. Settings page mirrors the same controls.

Backend: new user_preferences table (one row per user, lazily
inserted, ON DELETE CASCADE) and GET/PATCH /api/v1/auth/me/preferences
gated by the existing CurrentUser extractor. Allowed values are
enforced both by API validation and table-level CHECK constraints.
Eight integration tests cover defaults, persistence, partial
updates, validation errors, auth, per-user isolation, and cascade.

Frontend: a new preferences store mirrors the theme-store pattern
with a localStorage shadow so anonymous browsers get a consistent
experience and logged-in users don't flash defaults while the
server response is in flight. Server values that the frontend
doesn't recognize (forward-compat) are ignored rather than poisoning
the UI; non-401 PATCH errors revert the optimistic local update;
logout clears the shadow so user A's settings don't follow user B
on a shared browser.

In continuous mode native scrolling handles Space/PageDown/arrows;
Home/End remain wired and call scrollIntoView() so jumping to chapter
bounds stays one keystroke. Single-page mode (chevrons, arrow-key
pagination, next-page preload) is unchanged.

Versions bumped 0.13.0 → 0.14.0 in lockstep.

d81aca42a0 chore: audit-flagged cleanups (no behaviour change)
Four small follow-ups from the 0.9.0 audit, none of them
user-visible:

- Migration 0007 drops `chapters_manga_idx`. The 0001 schema declared
  both `UNIQUE (manga_id, number)` and `CREATE INDEX chapters_manga_idx
  ON (manga_id, number)`, but Postgres maintains an identical index
  for the unique constraint automatically — the explicit one was just
  paying for a second per-write update. Query plans are unchanged
  because the planner already preferred the constraint's index.
- `upload::parse_image` sniffs from the first 64 bytes instead of the
  full image buffer. `infer` only looks at magic bytes anyway, so
  scanning 20 MiB is wasted work. Functionally identical; cheaper in
  the hot path.
- AVIF was on the whitelist but had no test fixture. New `avif_bytes`
  helper produces a minimal `ftyp avif` header that `infer` recognises,
  and a new `accepts_avif` unit test covers the path end-to-end.
- Frontend `request()` sets `credentials: 'include'`. Same-origin
  callers see no change (default was already `'same-origin'`), but the
  first user who configures `CORS_ALLOWED_ORIGINS` for a cross-origin
  deployment gets working cookies without having to chase a runtime
  ApiError trail.

No version bump.

785b9755cf bugfix: case-insensitive usernames, reject non-positive bookmark page
Two related correctness fixes from the audit:

- Username uniqueness was case-sensitive (`username text UNIQUE`), so
  "Alice" and "alice" could both register and then race on login.
  Migration 0006 adds a unique index on `lower(username)`; the
  existing constraint is kept (overlapping but cheap) to avoid a
  destructive migration on any deployments that may already exist.
  `repo::user::find_by_username` now matches on `lower(username) =
  lower($1)` so login is case-insensitive against the same index.
  Test: registering "alice" then "Alice" returns 409 conflict; login
  with "ALICE" succeeds against the existing user.

- `POST /api/v1/bookmarks` silently accepted `page: 0` and `page: -1`
  even though both are nonsense for a 1-indexed page number. Reject
  with 422 `validation_failed` and `details.page` populated, matching
  the pattern used for missing-metadata / empty-title elsewhere. Test
  covers both 0 and -1.

1883356d7d feat: pg_trgm search, sort options, populated total count
Backend:
- Migration 0005_search.sql enables pg_trgm and adds GIN indexes
  (gin_trgm_ops) on mangas.title and on mangas.author (partial, WHERE
  author IS NOT NULL).
- repo::manga::list keeps the existing substring (ILIKE) clause and
  adds the `%` operator on title + author so the search tolerates typos
  ('narto' → 'Naruto'). Both branches share the trgm index. A second
  count(*) query (same WHERE clause, indexed) yields the total without
  scanning twice in any meaningful sense.
- New ListSort enum (Recent / Title) interpolated into ORDER BY from a
  hard-coded match — never from request input, so the format!() is not
  a SQL-injection seam. Default stays Recent (created_at DESC).
- api::mangas accepts `?sort=recent|title` (snake_case) via serde and
  returns `page.total` as a number instead of null.
- api::pagination::PagedResponse gains a `with_total` constructor.

Backend coverage in tests/api_mangas.rs (4 new cases plus the existing
list_is_empty_initially updated to assert total: 0):
- list_returns_total_count_independent_of_pagination — limit=2 with 3
  rows returns 2 items and total=3.
- search_via_trigram_tolerates_typos — `?search=narto` finds Naruto.
- list_sort_title_orders_alphabetically — three out-of-order inserts
  come back A→Z.
- search_reflects_filtered_total — search narrows total to 1.

Frontend:
- lib/api/mangas.ts gains a `MangaSort` type and threads `sort` through
  listMangas's query-string builder.
- Home page renders a "Sort" select (Recent / Title A→Z) that re-runs
  the list query, and shows "Showing N of M" when total is present.

e92c581c7b feat: bookmarks (CRUD + per-user listing + frontend toggle)
Backend:
- Migration 0004_bookmarks_unique.sql adds a partial unique index on
  (user_id, manga_id) WHERE chapter_id IS NULL. The 0001 UNIQUE
  constraint over (user_id, manga_id, chapter_id) doesn't block dupes
  when chapter_id is NULL under Postgres's default NULLS DISTINCT, so a
  user could otherwise bookmark the same manga twice at the manga
  level. Chapter-level dupes are still caught by the 0001 constraint.
- repo::bookmark with create / list_for_user / find_owner / delete.
  create catches the 23505 unique violation and surfaces it as
  AppError::Conflict so handlers return a clean 409.
- POST /api/v1/bookmarks { manga_id, chapter_id?, page? } — CurrentUser
  required. Pre-validates the manga exists (404 if not) and, when
  chapter_id is supplied, that the chapter belongs to that manga (also
  404), so FK violations can't bubble up as 500s.
- DELETE /api/v1/bookmarks/{id} — owner-only. 404 if unknown, 403 if it
  exists for another user, 204 on success. Idempotent: deleting an
  already-deleted bookmark is 404, not 500.
- GET /api/v1/me/bookmarks — paged envelope, sorted by created_at DESC,
  scoped to the current user so the URL itself can't be used to peek at
  someone else's bookmarks.

Integration coverage in tests/api_bookmarks.rs (9 cases): create+list
returns only own; duplicate manga-level bookmark → 409; unknown manga
→ 404; unauthenticated POST → 401; user A cannot delete user B's
bookmark (403); unknown delete → 404; double-delete → 404, not 500;
/me/bookmarks requires auth; paged envelope shape on empty list.

Frontend:
- lib/api/bookmarks.ts with createBookmark / deleteBookmark /
  listMyBookmarks. listMyBookmarksOrEmpty wraps the 401 case so pages
  can render anonymously without try/catch boilerplate.
- /manga/[id] overview: pre-loads the user's bookmark list in its load
  function and renders either:
  - "★ Bookmarked" / "☆ Bookmark" toggle with aria-pressed when authed;
    click POSTs or DELETEs and mutates a local working copy of the
    bookmark list (optimistic UI without re-fetching);
  - or a "Sign in to bookmark" link for anonymous users.
- /bookmarks page lists the current user's bookmarks (chapter-level
  bookmarks link into the reader, manga-level back to the overview).
  Anonymous users see a sign-in prompt instead of a 401 page.

E2E in e2e/bookmarks.spec.ts (3 cases): authed toggle round-trip
(bookmark, see in /bookmarks list, unbookmark); anonymous user gets the
sign-in CTA on the overview; anonymous /bookmarks shows the sign-in
prompt. Existing reader.spec.ts updated for the new
bookmark-signin/toggle test IDs.

9af070608b feat: streaming files endpoint + reader pages + chapter pages metadata
Backend:
- Migration 0003_pages.sql adds a `pages` table (id, chapter_id,
  page_number, storage_key, content_type) with a unique (chapter_id,
  page_number). New table because chapter pages can have different MIME
  types per page; reconstructing keys from a single template would
  break the moment a chapter mixes png and jpg pages.
- `domain::Page` + `repo::page` (create + list_for_chapter).
- The chapter upload handler now inserts one page row per part as it
  writes the bytes to storage.
- GET /api/v1/mangas/{id}/chapters/{n}/pages returns `{pages: [...]}`
  with the storage_key clients need to construct image URLs. 404 if
  the manga or chapter doesn't exist; reads are public.

Storage trait grows `get_stream(&str) -> StreamingFile` returning a
`Pin<Box<dyn Stream<Item = io::Result<Bytes>> + Send>>` + size. The
local backend implements via `tokio::fs::File` + `tokio_util::io::
ReaderStream` with a 64 KiB chunk size. GET /api/v1/files/*key now
streams via `axum::body::Body::from_stream` instead of buffering — the
test asserts a 200 KiB file emits >1 frame end-to-end through the
router.

Frontend:
- lib/api/client.ts gains `fileUrl(key)` so components don't
  reconstruct the `/api/v1/files/...` path manually.
- lib/api/chapters.ts gains `ChapterPage` type + `getChapterPages` (the
  type is named ChapterPage to avoid colliding with `Page` from
  client.ts, which is the pagination envelope).
- /manga/[id]/+page.svelte: overview with cover, title, author,
  description, chapter list, and a disabled bookmark control (real
  bookmarking lands in feat/bookmarks). Responsive at 640 px.
- /manga/[id]/chapter/[n]/+page.svelte: paginated reader. Current page
  loads eagerly; next page is preloaded in a hidden img so navigation
  feels instant. Keyboard handler maps ArrowRight/j/Space → next,
  ArrowLeft/k → prev, Home/End → first/last; skips when the user is
  typing in an input. Focus ring on the prev/next buttons.
- SSR is disabled on both routes via `export const ssr = false` so the
  client-only fetch flow doesn't need to be replicated server-side; the
  routes are interactive features, not SEO surfaces.
- E2E (e2e/reader.spec.ts): overview shows the title/cover/chapter
  list; reader pages through three pages via ArrowRight, j, k, and
  ArrowLeft, and the preload img holds the page-2 src on initial load.

383cfbed3b feat: argon2id passwords, session cookies, bot bearer tokens
Adds the full auth flow. Reads stay public; writes (currently only POST
/api/v1/mangas) require a CurrentUser. Both browsers and bot scripts hit
the same endpoints — they just present credentials differently.

Migration 0002_auth.sql introduces users.password_hash, a sessions
table, and an api_tokens table. Sessions and api_tokens store only
sha256(raw_token) — the raw value lives in the cookie or the
Authorization header.

New endpoints under /api/v1/auth/:
- POST /register — argon2id hash, creates a session, sets cookie.
- POST /login — verifies, rotates to a fresh session (old ones expire
  naturally so other devices stay signed in).
- POST /logout — deletes the server-side session row + clears the
  cookie via Max-Age=0.
- GET /me — current user via the new CurrentUser extractor.
- POST /tokens — issue a bot bearer token; raw value returned exactly
  once at creation.
- DELETE /tokens/{id} — owner-only: 404 if unknown, 403 if it exists
  but belongs to another user, 204 on success.

The CurrentUser axum extractor resolves cookie first, then
Authorization: Bearer; failure → AppError::Unauthenticated (401). New
AppError variants Unauthenticated/Forbidden/Conflict carry the matching
envelope codes; the top-level match in `code()` stays exhaustive.

Backend integration coverage in tests/api_auth.rs: register sets a
HttpOnly SameSite=Lax cookie and never leaks password_hash; duplicate
username → 409; weak password → 400; login rotates the cookie; wrong
password / unknown user → 401; /me with vs without cookie; logout
invalidates the cookie; bot-token roundtrip via Bearer; user A cannot
delete user B's token (403); unknown delete → 404.

Frontend:
- lib/api/auth.ts — typed wrappers; me() returns null on 401.
- lib/session.svelte.ts — per-tab user state with a seq counter to
  guard against an in-flight /me clobbering a fresh setUser.
- lib/api/client.ts — request<T> returns undefined for 204.
- routes/login + routes/register — forms with action="javascript:void(0)"
  so the no-JS path is a no-op (avoids the hydration-race where a
  pre-attach click would submit via the browser default).
- routes/+layout.svelte — session-aware nav: spinner → user + Logout,
  or Login / Register.
- e2e/auth-flow.spec.ts — login flips the layout, logout flips back;
  bad credentials surface the API error message.

Config grows AuthConfig (cookie_secure, cookie_domain, session_ttl_days)
and CORS_ALLOWED_ORIGINS. CORS middleware is mounted in app::build and
stays a no-op (same-origin) until origins are listed.

6c1d04aaf4 chore: initial project scaffold
Set up Mangalord with a Rust/axum backend, SvelteKit frontend, Postgres,
and Docker Compose deployment. Establishes the architecture and TDD
patterns the project will extend:

- Hexagonal-ish backend layering (domain / repo / storage / api) with
  a pluggable Storage trait (LocalStorage today, S3 as a future impl).
- Initial migration: users, mangas, chapters, bookmarks.
- Vertical slice for mangas (list, search, create, get) with
  #[sqlx::test] integration coverage and storage unit tests.
- SvelteKit frontend using Svelte 5 runes, typed API client, Vitest
  unit tests and Playwright e2e with route mocking.
- CLAUDE.md documenting layering, TDD/git/SemVer workflow rules, and
  extension points (tags, fulltext search, OCR, S3, auth).
- Project-scoped .claude/settings.json with permission allowlist for
  the toolchain (git, cargo, npm/vite, docker, psql, gh, doc fetches).
