5682be366c fix(cms-poc): remediate findings surfaced by the CMS proof-of-concept
Additive fixes surfaced by building a full CMS on PiCloud
(examples/cms-poc/). One migration (0077_apps_cors.sql); no destructive
changes.

Security:
- Close the 502 info-leak on user routes: an uncaught script error (incl.
  a throw) leaked the app UUID + script fn names + source line/col. The
  user-route (inbox) path now shares scrub_runtime_detail with the
  execute-by-id path — raw detail is logged under a correlation id and the
  client sees only "script execution error (ref: <uuid>)".

Added:
- docs::find $contains operator (array membership via JSONB @>), per-app
  and group-shared — the inverse of $in.
- App-user role management from API/CLI: pic users add-role / rm-role,
  backed by the apps/{id}/users/{user_id}/roles endpoints (AppUsersAdmin).
- Per-app CORS: pic apps cors set, apps.cors_allowed_origins; the
  orchestrator echoes an allowed Origin and answers OPTIONS preflight.
- Non-JSON request bodies: form-urlencoded -> object, text/* -> string,
  other -> base64; ctx.request.content_type added. Malformed JSON still 400s.
- Binary responses via #{ body_base64 } with a script-set Content-Type.
- workflow::run_status(run_id) SDK (F-038): the starting script can poll a
  run — #{ status, output, error, steps } or () when no such run belongs to
  the app (app_id is the isolation boundary); same AppInvoke gate as start.

Fixed:
- pic apply "app not found" is now actionable (points at pic apps create).
- Interceptor- (F-021) and workflow-step-bound (F-037) scripts no longer
  warn "no route or trigger" at plan time — both count as reachability.

27bda66be6 test(services): pin that the per-value byte caps reject before authz
CLAUDE.md calls the KV/docs/pubsub/queue value-size caps an anti-DoS rail:
oversized payloads are rejected "before authz so anonymous public scripts can't
DoS Postgres." Only queue had a test, and it used an allow-all authz + anon cx —
which catches a DROPPED cap but not a REORDERED one, because an anon cx passes
script_gate regardless.

Each service now has an ordering-proof test: a DENYING authz repo + an
AUTHENTICATED member cx, so a size-check-first service returns *TooLarge while an
authz-first one would return Forbidden. Each pairs it with an under-cap control
through the same denied cx (returns Forbidden) to prove the cx really is denied,
so the *TooLarge case genuinely bypassed authz. Queue's pre-existing test is
upgraded to the same shape (+ a shared member_cx helper).

Mutation-verified: moving the KV size check after authz flips its result to
Forbidden and the test fails.

966b209d2e feat(quota): add per-app storage ceilings
An app's OWN store had no ceiling of any kind — only the group-SHARED
collections did, which is the inversion of what you'd expect. And
`authz::script_gate` returns `Ok(())` when there is no principal, so a
PUBLIC UNAUTHENTICATED route could reach `files::collection(..).create(..)`
and write blobs in a loop until the disk filled. `PICLOUD_FILES_MAX_FILE_SIZE_BYTES`
caps ONE file at 100 MB; nothing capped the count. Same for KV keys and docs
against Postgres.

Ceilings: `PICLOUD_APP_KV_MAX_ROWS` / `PICLOUD_APP_DOCS_MAX_ROWS` (100k) and
`PICLOUD_APP_FILES_MAX_TOTAL_BYTES` (10 GiB).

They are enforced DIFFERENTLY from the group ones, on purpose — porting the
group design as-is would have been a serious regression:

  * KV/docs check a ROW count, on INSERT only, with NO lock. `kv::set` is the
    hottest write path in the system; taking a per-app advisory lock on every
    set would serialize an app's entire data plane, and a `SUM(...)` scan would
    make write cost grow with the app's stored size. What the lock buys is
    small — unlocked overshoot is bounded by write concurrency (32) against a
    ceiling of 100k, ~0.03%. These are anti-DoS rails, not billing. An update
    adds no row and is bounded by the per-value cap, so it pays nothing at all.
  * No per-app BYTE ceiling for KV/docs: every value is already capped at
    `PICLOUD_KV_MAX_VALUE_BYTES`, so `max_rows x max_value_bytes` is ALREADY a
    finite bound. A second scan would buy nothing.
  * FILES are the exception and DO lock + sum: one blob may be 100 MB, so 32
    racing uploads could overshoot by gigabytes of real disk, and a file write
    is heavy enough that the lock and the SUM are lost in the noise. Checked on
    create AND update — an update that skipped the ceiling would be a free
    bypass (the same bug just fixed for group files: grow a 1-byte file to
    100 MB, repeat).

`group_quota` is renamed `quota`: it now serves both owners, and the module
doc is where the two enforcement strategies are contrasted.

Pinned by tests/atomic_write.rs: the key ceiling refuses a new key while
still allowing an update at the ceiling (rejecting updates would brick an app
the moment it filled up — worse than the DoS the rail exists to stop), and 10
concurrent uploads cannot exceed the disk ceiling, nor can an update grow past it.

58bf0ab3ec fix(docs): make docs writes transactional and the group quota a bound
Audit #6 and #8, applied to the docs store — the same two bugs KV had, in
the same two places.

Per-app docs (#6): create/update/delete wrote the row, then emitted
best-effort. An outbox failure left a committed doc whose trigger never
fired. They now go through `atomic_write::DocsWriter`, whose Postgres impl
writes and fans out on one connection in one transaction.

Group docs (#8): the service read `count_rows`/`projected_total_bytes` on
pooled connections and wrote on another, so concurrent creators each saw the
same pre-write count and together overshot the ceiling.
`PostgresGroupDocsWriter` takes a per-group advisory lock — on its OWN
`docs`-namespaced key, so it serializes against other docs writers to that
group but not against KV writers, which draw on a separate ceiling.

The bespoke `check_total_bytes` (with its own copy of the upper-bound fast
path) is gone; group docs now shares `group_quota::check_group_write` with
group KV, so the row ceiling, the projected-bytes ceiling, and the fast path
that skips the O(n) SUM scan have exactly one implementation between them.

tests/atomic_write.rs gains the docs row-quota race (16 concurrent creators
against a ceiling of 4).

649246213e fix(stage-3): queue DL fan-out + emit-failure visibility
Closes the queue DL fan-out gap (audit Medium) and surfaces the
KV/docs/files non-transactional emit gap to operators.

- handle_queue_failure previously called queue.dead_letter to write the
  DL row but never invoked fan_out_dead_letter. The comment claimed
  "the outbox arm fires registered dead_letter handlers off the new row"
  — but queue DL rows are written via a separate path that bypasses the
  outbox entirely, so handlers filtered on source="queue" sat idle
  forever. Refactor fan_out_dead_letter to take a DeadLetterFanOutCtx
  struct so both the outbox arm and the queue arm can call it; the
  queue arm constructs a TriggerEvent::Queue from the claimed message
  and passes it through.

- New integration test queue_dead_letter_fans_out_to_dead_letter_handler
  registers a dead_letter trigger filtered on "queue", forces queue
  exhaustion, asserts the handler fires with the correctly-shaped event.

- KV/docs/files services committed the data write then ran events.emit
  as a separate operation, logging-and-swallowing on failure. Bump the
  six call sites from tracing::warn to tracing::error with an
  event_emit_failure=true marker so operators can grep them. The full
  single-tx repo refactor (extending ServiceEventEmitter with
  emit_in_tx + tx-aware *_repo methods) is documented in kv_service.rs
  as a v1.2 follow-up — it's a meaningful redesign that deserves its
  own pass (pubsub_service::fan_out_publish is the reference shape).

e29ac1c03d fix(manager-core): F-S-001 cap kv/docs/pubsub/queue payload sizes (default 256 KB)
Files (per-file cap), secrets (64 KB default), and email (25 MB default)
already enforce limits; kv::set, docs::create/update, pubsub::publish_durable
and queue::enqueue accepted any JSON value straight to a JSONB column with
no size validation. An anonymous public-HTTP script could fill disk via
queue::enqueue or amplify a single publish into N outbox rows × payload bytes.

Adds four new error variants:
- KvError::ValueTooLarge { limit, actual }
- DocsError::ValueTooLarge { limit, actual }
- PubsubError::MessageTooLarge { limit, actual }
- QueueError::PayloadTooLarge { limit, actual }

Each stateful service grows a `max_value_bytes` field with:
- Conservative 256 KB default (DEFAULT_KV_MAX_VALUE_BYTES etc.).
- New `with_max_*` constructor preserving the old `new()` signature.
- Env-knob reader (`*_max_*_from_env()`) — mirrors SecretsConfig::from_env.

Validation runs at the entry point BEFORE authz so an anonymous DoS doesn't
pay a membership lookup per attempt.

Wired via env knobs:
- PICLOUD_KV_MAX_VALUE_BYTES
- PICLOUD_DOCS_MAX_VALUE_BYTES
- PICLOUD_PUBSUB_MAX_MESSAGE_BYTES
- PICLOUD_QUEUE_MAX_PAYLOAD_BYTES

Documented in CLAUDE.md runtime config table.

New unit test in queue_service verifying the cap fires before authz.

04dc81115e fix(manager-core): F-Q-003 promote authz::script_gate helper, migrate 7 service call sites
Replace nine open-coded `if cx.principal.is_some() {
authz::require(...).await.map_err(...) }` blocks with a single
`authz::script_gate(repo, cx, cap, forbidden_fn, backend_fn)` helper.

The helper enshrines the script-as-gate semantics (anonymous public-
HTTP scripts skip the check) and the AuthzDenied::{Denied,Repo}
mapping in one place — eliminating drift between services.

Call sites migrated:
- kv_service::check_read / check_write
- docs_service::check_read / check_write
- files_service::check_read / check_write
- pubsub_service::check_publish
- queue_service::enqueue

The pubsub_service::mint_subscriber_token path keeps the explicit
match because it does a separate `principal` early-bind for other
validation; converting it would obscure intent.

F-Q-005 (Repo-passthrough pattern).

655c3ab97e fix(manager-core): F-Q-005 preserve AuthzDenied::Repo through service-layer authz checks
Every check_read/check_write/check_publish helper across kv, docs,
files, pubsub, queue services used `.map_err(|_| KvError::Forbidden)?`,
collapsing AuthzDenied::Denied AND AuthzDenied::Repo(repo_err) into
a single Forbidden. A transient Postgres blip during the membership
lookup surfaced as 403 to scripts; operators couldn't distinguish
"real forbidden" from "DB flap during permission check".

Replace each call site with the explicit match pattern already used by
users_service::require (users_service.rs:177-181):

  Ok(())                          → continue
  Err(AuthzDenied::Denied)        → Err(ServiceError::Forbidden)
  Err(AuthzDenied::Repo(e))       → Err(ServiceError::Backend(e.to_string()))

7 call sites updated (2 in kv_service, 2 in docs_service, 2 in
files_service, 2 in pubsub_service, 1 in queue_service).

10b5f655d5 feat(v1.1.4): outbound HTTP SDK + cron triggers
HTTP (`http::*`):
- `HttpService` trait (picloud-shared) + reqwest-backed `HttpServiceImpl`
  (manager-core), wired into the `Services` bundle.
- SSRF deny-list applied to the resolved IP via a custom reqwest
  `dns_resolver` (covers every redirect hop + defeats DNS rebinding) plus
  a literal-IP check at URL-parse time. Scheme/port restrictions, request
  + response body caps (stream-with-cap), layered timeout. Error reason is
  a CIDR category, never the IP. `PICLOUD_HTTP_ALLOW_PRIVATE` dev override
  (logs a startup warning).
- Rhai bridge with three-arg split `verb(url, body, opts)` (resolves the
  brief's body-vs-opts contradiction; unknown opt keys throw). Body
  dispatch by type; response `#{status,headers,body,body_raw}` with JSON
  auto-parse; non-2xx does not throw.
- `Capability::AppHttpRequest` → existing `script:write` scope (no new
  Scope variant). `SdkCallCx` gains `script_id` (attribution + User-Agent).

Cron triggers (4th trigger kind):
- Migration 0017 widens the kind/source_kind CHECKs and adds
  `cron_trigger_details`. `cron`/`chrono-tz` parse + validate 6-field
  schedules and IANA timezones.
- `spawn_cron_scheduler` polls due triggers and enqueues to the universal
  outbox; the dispatcher delivers them (one-line match-arm extension).
  Catch-up fires exactly once per trigger per tick, not once per missed
  window. `ctx.event.cron` for handlers.
- `POST /api/v1/admin/apps/{id}/triggers/cron` reuses the v1.1.3
  cross-app + kind!=module target check.
- Dashboard: admin-gated Triggers tab (cron create form + list).

Follow-ups: redact module backend errors at the resolver boundary (log
original at error level); pin `rhai = "=1.24"`; CHANGELOG incl. retroactive
v1.1.3 cross-app-trigger security note. Version bumps: workspace 1.1.4,
SDK 1.5, dashboard 0.10.0.

bf26a256e8 chore: cargo fmt
Single-line collapse in DocsServiceImpl::delete's $in match arm
flagged by `cargo fmt --check` post-review. The v1 HANDBACK §8
claimed `cargo fmt --check` was green; that claim was false against
HEAD at audit time. This fixes the diff so all three gates exit 0
on a fresh checkout. The follow-up HANDBACK update replaces §8's
false attestation with a post-fix one.

06678f4496 feat(v1.1.2-docs): manager-core docs service + repo + query DSL parser
DocsServiceImpl mirrors KvServiceImpl's script-as-gate authz pattern,
the empty-collection rejection, and the best-effort emitter call —
adding "data must be a JSON object" validation, NotFound on update of
a missing doc, and prev_data plumbing via repo.update returning the
prior data.

PostgresDocsRepo handles CRUD against the docs table. The find path
runs through the v1.1.2 query DSL parser (docs_filter::parse_filter)
before building parameterised SQL via sqlx::QueryBuilder:

  * Every field-path segment + comparison value is bound as $N.
  * jsonb_extract_path_text(data, $N1, $N2, ...) handles variable
    depth without segment interpolation.
  * Base WHERE is fixed: WHERE app_id = $1 AND collection = $2.
    Filter conditions can only narrow, never widen. Load-bearing
    test in sql_shape_tests pins this prefix on every emitted query
    + asserts no user string ever lands in the SQL text.
  * $ne uses IS DISTINCT FROM (not <>) so missing paths + JSON nulls
    are correctly included.
  * $in binds the value list as TEXT[] via = ANY($N::text[]).
  * $sort always appends a ", id ASC" tiebreaker for stable cursor
    pagination semantics; $limit is clamped to MAX_FIND_LIMIT.

docs_filter is the AST + parser for the DSL. Operator allowlist is
explicit; any non-v1.1.2 operator throws UnsupportedOperator with a
v1.2 pointer. Snapshot tests pin the SDK-contract error strings so
changing them is a deliberate act.

Two new Capability variants — AppDocsRead and AppDocsWrite — map to
the existing Scope::ScriptRead and ScriptWrite per the seven-scope
commitment from v1.1.0. role_satisfies grants read at Viewer,
write at Editor (same trust shape as KV).

59 unit tests added across the three new files. All pass.
