Smallest honest vertical slice of §9.4: a `[[interceptors]]` block (app OR
group) binds a script to run BEFORE `kv::set`/`delete`; it reads the operation
context (`ctx.request.body`: service, action, collection, key, value, caller
ids) and returns `#{ allowed, reason }` — `allowed == false` denies the op (the
write never runs, the caller gets a runtime error).
Reuses two existing mechanisms rather than inventing new ones:
- Registration mirrors extension points (§5.5): a marker table
`0073_interceptors.sql` (owner-polymorphic app_id/group_id XOR, keyed
(service, op) → script), `interceptor_repo` (insert/delete/list + the
nearest-owner-wins `resolve_before` chain walk), reconciled through the
declarative apply exactly like `vars` (create/update/delete, prunable).
- Execution reuses the `invoke()` re-entry path: the new `InterceptorService`
(shared trait + Postgres-backed impl) only RESOLVES the script name (keeping
executor-core Postgres-free); the executor's `sdk::interceptor::run_before`
resolves that name and runs it via `run_resolved_blocking` (extracted from
`invoke_blocking` — shared depth bound + AST cache). An un-hooked write pays
one indexed `Ok(None)` resolve; no interceptor ⇒ zero overhead.
Nearest-owner-wins so an app overrides a group's interceptor, and a group
interceptor is inherited by every descendant app — the chain walk is the
isolation boundary (a sibling subtree never matches). `validate_bundle_for`
restricts the MVP to `service = "kv"`, `op ∈ {set, delete}`, one marker per
(service, op).
Deferred (documented in §9.4): the `data` transform return, services other
than kv, `after_*` hooks, chaining + circular-dependency guard, the timeout
policy, and a `pic interceptors ls` read surface (needs a server route).
Pinned by `tests/interceptors.rs` (deny blocks the write; allow passes;
group→app inheritance), schema snapshot re-blessed. 154/154 journeys pass.

The blueprint, CLAUDE.md, and the groups design doc still described the
Workflows track as "not-yet-started" and listed a per-app `materialized`
column as deferred — both stale. Workflows shipped M1–M6 (DAG execution +
conditional `when`, nested sub-workflows, durable orchestrator,
`workflow::start` SDK + admin API + `pic workflows`, dashboard DAG +
run-history; migrations 0071/0072), and D1's `materialized` column shipped.
Update the status lines to mark Workflows shipped (leaving §9.4 service
interceptors as the one remaining Workflows-track item and cluster mode as
next), bump the "migrations through 0070" note to 0072, and drop the stale
`materialized`-deferred line. Docs-only.

A five-agent roadmap-verification pass found the v1.2 Hierarchies code fully and
correctly implemented, but the three source-of-truth docs carried stale
"deferred/remaining/v1.3" notes — and one self-contradiction — for features that
have since shipped (§3 M3 server-side approval gate, §6 group create/reparent, the
Track A closeout, and the 2026-07-11 audit remediation). Reconcile all three to
reflect the true code; no behavior change.
CLAUDE.md: retract the inline "groups pre-exist" / "per-env approval deferred" /
"shared-topic SSE deferred" / "group dead-letter store deferred" / "email v0/no-AAD"
notes → mark §6, §3 M3, and Track A M1–M6 shipped; add per-group KV/docs byte
quotas + set_if; note migration 0063; refresh the "Out of MVP" section.
design doc: fix the header ("Phases 4–6 remain" → all shipped); resolve the §11.6
self-contradiction (the "Deferred" list still named shared-topic SSE / byte quotas /
set_if / operator admin API, all shipped — line 1317 already said SSE shipped); mark
the D3 dead-letter store shipped; retract the stale "groups pre-exist / §6 deferred"
forward references.
blueprint (comprehensive sweep): dashboard Alpine.js → SvelteKit + CodeMirror
(diagram, §3.3, tech table); Docker-per-execution → embedded in-process Rhai
(diagram + data flow); §12 Phase 4 "current focus" → shipped through v1.1.9; Phase 5

The groups/project-tool work had no home in the blueprint's version
scheme, two "Phase N" numbering schemes overlapped, and CLAUDE.md's
"current focus" was stale (claimed v1.1.0 SDK foundation; we're at v1.1.9
with the SDK line complete). Reconcile all three:
* blueprint §12 Phase 5 (v1.2, already titled "Advanced Workflows &
Hierarchies") — split into a Hierarchies track (the groups + project
tool initiative, with §11 Phases 1–3 marked shipped) and a Workflows
track, with sequencing flagged as an open call. This gives the work an
explicit version home: the Hierarchies half of v1.2.
* design doc header — Status Draft → Active, "scheduled as the Hierarchies
track of v1.2", and an explicit warning that §11's local Phase 1–6
numbering is distinct from the blueprint product-phase numbering.
* design doc §11.1 — a post-Phase-3 re-sequencing review: resolve Phase 4
scripts LIVE (drop the fan-out-invalidation sub-project, per the Phase 3
result); consider a "Phase 5-lite" (declarative apply of vars/secrets +
app scripts) before the hard group-scripts work; and force the two
deferred decisions (trigger/route templates vs tenant cardinality;
multi-repo ownership vs a single-repo start).
* CLAUDE.md — refresh "current focus" to v1.2 Hierarchies, and correct the
now-broken "every v1.1+ table is app_id NOT NULL" invariant: the new
group-inheritable config tables (vars, secrets) use a polymorphic owner
(group_id XOR app_id), not app_id NOT NULL.

Addresses every finding from the four-agent review of commit aa493b9.
Dashboard — honor redirect_to on subtab loadApp() (closes the silent
historical-slug redirect UX gap):
- queues/+page.svelte
- queues/[name]/+page.svelte
- files/+page.svelte
- dead-letters/+page.svelte
After a rename, the URL bar now reflects the canonical slug instead
of silently rendering the renamed app's data under the stale URL.
Mirrors the established pattern at apps/[slug]/+page.svelte:619-623.
manager-core:
- queues_api.rs IntoResponse now uses the JSON envelope shape
`{"error": "..."}` consistent with every sibling admin api file.
- triggers_api::delete_trigger reordered: cap check fires BEFORE the
trigger load, closing the 404-vs-403 existence side channel an
unauthorized caller could otherwise probe.
- InMemoryAppRepo mocks in topics_api + triggers_api now implement
get_by_slug + get_by_slug_or_history (previously
`unimplemented!()`), unblocking handler-level slug-input tests.
- Added 4 slug-acceptance tests to topics_api and 2 to triggers_api
(slug-resolves, unknown-slug-404, historical-slug-resolves,
create-via-slug). Also added delete-without-cap-is-forbidden test
pinning the new cap-first order.
e2e:
- navigation/tabs.spec.ts split per-tab so a regression on one tab
no longer masks regressions on the others.
- Negative assertion widened: captures every /api/v1/admin/apps/*
response and fails on any 4xx/5xx — not just the literal "Cannot
parse" string. Catches a broader regression shape.
- networkidle replaced with `expect(<main>).toBeVisible()` —
networkidle is officially discouraged for SPAs and was at risk of
timing out behind the queues auto-refresh.
- Cleanup registration moved BEFORE the create-app API call so a
flaky create still gets swept up.
- Queue drilldown route /queues/[name] now covered.
- Stable `data-testid="queues-empty-state"` replaces fragile
UI-copy substring match for the positive assertion.
- Header comment now spells out what this spec does and doesn't
catch.
docs:
- serverless_cloud_blueprint.md: slug-history described as
"200 OK + redirect_to" JSON envelope rather than "301 redirect"
— matches what apps_api actually implements (SPA can't honor a
mid-tree HTTP redirect).
Unit-test gap (acknowledged): queues_api, files_api, secrets_api,
dead_letters_api have zero in-process tests. Adding them properly
needs a shared mock-repo helper crate — the standalone trait surface
(QueueRepo + TriggerRepo + ScriptRepository + AuthzRepo + repo-
specific) is ~30 methods per file. Documented inline in queues_api.rs
near the resolver. Integration coverage via crates/picloud/tests/ and
the new e2e spec cover the same paths end-to-end.

Two review-pass nits from the v1.1.0-foundation review:
- Blueprint §6 Tech Stack table still listed the database as
"PostgreSQL + hstore" with an hstore-for-KV rationale — directly
contradicting the §8.1 KV rewrite that explicitly rejected hstore
in favour of JSONB. Updates the row so the high-level summary
matches the §8.1 reasoning.
- LocalExecutorClient::execute now documents the permit-vs-timeout
interaction: when tokio::time::timeout fires the future drops and
the permit returns, but the detached spawn_blocking thread keeps
running until the Rhai script winds down. In-use blocking threads
can briefly exceed the gate's permit count after a timeout. Calling
it out so future readers don't read the implementation as buggy.
No behaviour change.

Lands the developer-facing reference for the SDK shape every v1.1.x
service implements against, plus the blueprint changes the shape and
the recently-shipped Phase 3.5 imply:
- New docs/sdk-shape.md — covers handle pattern, :: namespace,
throw/() error convention, sync↔async bridge, cross-app isolation
rule, ServiceEventEmitter, ExecutionGate + env var, stateless vs
stateful module registration.
- Blueprint §11.6 (Phase 3.5): Pending → ✓ Shipped, with a note that
it landed ahead of the originally planned slot.
- Blueprint §8.1 (KV Store): replace hstore schema + rationale with
JSONB. PK becomes (app_id, collection, key); cross-app isolation
is enforced at the index, not just the service layer. Note 64 KiB
per-value cap enforced at the service layer (lands with the KV PR
in v1.1.1).
- Blueprint new §7.5 (SDK Architecture): brief overview pointing to
docs/sdk-shape.md. Includes §7.5.1 sketch of the trigger

Apps become the isolation boundary for scripts, routes, domains, and
later data. Doing this now — while the surface is small — avoids
several migrations on populated tables once v1.1 data-plane services
ship.
Schema (migration 0005_apps.sql):
- New tables: apps, app_domains (with shape_key UNIQUE for collision
detection), app_slug_history (for permanent slug-rename redirects).
- app_id added to scripts, routes, execution_logs (non-null, cascading
rules per row).
- Script-name uniqueness becomes per-app; the route unique index is
swapped for an app-scoped version.
- The "default" app is seeded unconditionally with a localhost claim;
existing scripts/routes backfill into it. Fresh installs additionally
get the Hello World seed via seed_hello_world_if_fresh after
migrations run (idempotent — only fires when the default app has no
scripts).
Orchestrator dispatch is two-phase: AppDomainTable resolves Host →
app_id (most-specific match wins, exact beats wildcard), then the
existing route matcher runs against that app's partitioned slice via
RouteTable. Unknown hosts return 404 at the app layer with a clear
message; /api/v1/execute/{id} still works as the implicit
__internal__ claim, decoupled from any public domain.
Manager API: full CRUD for /api/v1/admin/apps/* and
/api/v1/admin/apps/{id_or_slug}/domains/*, with slug:check + force
takeover semantics implementing the rename-history flow (two-step
check → confirm, never a single endpoint). Script create requires
app_id; list accepts ?app= filter. Route create validates host
against the parent app's claims; conflict detection stays strictly
intra-app.
Dashboard: /admin/apps and /admin/apps/{slug} (overview + scripts +
domains + settings tabs, with slug-history-aware redirects). Root
path redirects to the apps list. Script detail page gains an app
breadcrumb and threads app_id into the route preview.
Deferred per design: per-app admin roles. The require_admin middleware
remains the seam where role checks will slot in later.
Blueprint §11.5 and roadmap updated to reflect what shipped; docs/
versioning.md notes the schema 3 → 5 bump.

Closes the regression risk of the admin API and dashboard being open
to anyone reaching the bound port. Required foundation before v1.1
data-plane services land.
Per-user accounts (admin_users), Argon2id passwords, env-var bootstrap
of the first admin that becomes inert once any admin exists, opaque
32-byte session token doubling as bearer credential, 24h sliding TTL
configurable via PICLOUD_SESSION_TTL_HOURS. is_active column lets
admins be deactivated without losing audit history; last-active-admin
guard on DELETE and on PATCH that flips is_active to false (sessions
also wiped on deactivation).
require_admin middleware fronts every /api/v1/admin/* route. The data
plane (/api/v1/execute/{id}), /healthz, /version, and user routes
stay open. picloud admin reset-password <username> subcommand handles
recovery without going through HTTP.
Dashboard gains /admin/login and /admin/admins surfaces, a top-bar
user menu, and a token store with a localStorage echo so refreshes
don't sign you out. Cookie-based auth works in parallel for non-SPA
clients.
Forward compatibility: future RBAC tables (admin_roles,
admin_user_roles) join on admin_users.id; the auth middleware is the
seam where role checks slot in. Email, 2FA, passkeys, and personal
API tokens are all additive without touching admin_users.
Blueprint §11.4 updated to reflect what actually shipped.

restructures the section 12 roadmap to put both ahead of v1.1, since
retrofitting app_id into KV/docs/users schemas after they ship is far
more expensive than adding it now.

forward-compatible with later RBAC.
App scoping: apps own scripts/routes/domains. Domain claims at app

keeps the old slug as a permanent redirect until another app claims
it. Fresh-install migration seeds a Hello World app; upgrades go into
a default app instead.

Sets up the PiCloud monorepo as a Cargo workspace organised around the
three-service architecture (manager / orchestrator / executor), each
backed by a *-core library crate so the same logic powers both the MVP
all-in-one `picloud` binary and the future split-process cluster mode.
* crates/shared, executor-core, orchestrator-core, manager-core
define the library surface and trait seams between the three
services (`ExecutorClient`, `ScriptResolver`, `ScriptRepository`).
* crates/picloud is the MVP entrypoint; serves /healthz on 8080
(override via PICLOUD_BIND).
* crates/picloud-{manager,orchestrator,executor} are skeleton
binaries that keep the crate boundaries honest until cluster
mode is built out in v1.3+.
* docs/git-workflow.md defines the trunk-based workflow:
short-lived branches, Conventional Commits, separate hotfix
flow with mandatory reproduction tests.
* CLAUDE.md captures the working rules for future Claude sessions.
Workspace passes `cargo fmt`, `cargo clippy -D warnings` (with
pedantic enabled), and `cargo test --workspace`. The all-in-one
binary responds on `/healthz` and `/`.
